Tony Hancock was a comedian featuring heavily for the BBC during the 1950’s and 1960’s, after which point he was considered a comedy genius. Hancock played numerous roles throughout his prime years and gained a genuinely massive follows owing to his comic genius. In the series the character played by Sid James persistantly took advantage of Hancock’s naiveity with hilarious results.
